Reclaim Energy — Intelligent energy solutions

Part of Reclaim Group

Take control of what your business spends on energy.

Reclaim Energy helps businesses understand where energy is being wasted and whether technologies such as commercial solar and Combined Heat & Power could reduce operating costs.

We start with the commercial case. If an energy project does not make sense for your business, we will tell you.

Reduce costs. Improve efficiency. Plan for the future.

The question that matters

“Can we install it?”

“Does it make commercial sense?”

The equipment comes after the building, consumption profile, objectives and numbers have been understood.

Look beyond the tariff

Your energy bill only tells part of the story.

Rising prices matter, but the amount a business pays per unit is only one part of its total energy cost.

How energy is consumed, when it is consumed, wasted heat, grid dependence and inefficient systems can all affect the wider commercial position. Reclaim Energy looks at that broader picture before deciding which options deserve attention.

  • Consumption patterns
  • Timing of demand
  • Wasted heat
  • Grid dependence
  • Inefficient systems

Start with your situation

What would you like to improve?

You do not need to know which technology you require. Choose the problem that sounds closest and we will show you a sensible place to start.

A useful next step

We don't understand where our energy goes

Begin with the wider energy picture before narrowing the conversation to any technology.

Energy solutions

Technology considered through the business case

Commercial solar and CHP solve different problems. Both need to fit the way the site and business actually operate.

Commercial solar

Generate more of the electricity your business uses.

Commercial solar can allow a business to generate electricity from its own premises rather than purchasing all of its power from the grid. But fitting panels is not the objective. The objective is determining whether solar makes financial sense for the building, energy profile and business.

  • Reduce reliance on grid electricity
  • Gain more control over electricity costs
  • Make productive use of roof or land space
  • Support longer-term energy planning
  • Create additional generation capacity

Combined Heat & Power

Generate electricity and make useful use of the heat.

Some businesses need substantial amounts of both electricity and heat. Combined Heat & Power generates electricity on site while recovering heat created during the generation process. For the right operation, that heat can be used elsewhere in the business rather than being wasted.

It may be worth assessing for operations such as:

Manufacturing · Hospitality and leisure · Healthcare · Food production · Businesses with substantial hot-water requirements. These are illustrative categories, not assumptions of suitability.

Could CHP work for us?

Energy review & efficiency

Find the areas worth investigating first.

Consumption, operating patterns, heating, equipment and potential waste are considered alongside generation. Sometimes the useful answer is an efficiency improvement, not a new installation.

Our difference

We don't start with the technology.

Solar isn't right for every business. Neither is CHP.

Our first conversation is about your business. We want to understand the current position before discussing equipment.

  • Current energy consumption
  • What energy costs
  • When energy is used
  • The premises
  • Heating requirements
  • Expected time at the site
  • Potential areas of waste
  • What the business wants to achieve

The decision

Does it make commercial sense?

Our approach

From understanding to measurable improvement

A connected process keeps the recommendation tied to the original commercial objective.

  1. 01

    Understand

We start with your current energy use, costs, premises and objectives.

  2. 02

    Identify

We look for potential inefficiencies and areas where energy generation or efficiency improvements may make sense.

  3. 03

    Assess

We consider suitable options and the commercial case.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Where there is a credible reason to proceed, we help coordinate the appropriate solution through implementation.

  5. 05

    Review

The objective is measurable improvement rather than simply installing equipment.

Why Reclaim Energy

Energy decisions should be business decisions.

Commercial first

The technology must make financial and operational sense.

Solution, not product

We do not assume every business needs the same answer.

Joined-up thinking

Consumption, generation and efficiency are considered together.

Review to implementation

Where there is a strong case, we can help move from assessment to delivery.

Energy sits within the wider cost and operational pressures affecting small businesses.

Recognition

Reclaim Energy could be worth a conversation if...

  • Your business has significant electricity costs
  • You own or have long-term control of commercial premises
  • You operate machinery or equipment with meaningful energy demand
  • Your business has substantial heating or hot-water requirements
  • You are considering commercial solar
  • You have been quoted for solar and want to understand the commercial case
  • You want more control over long-term energy expenditure
  • You believe energy may be being wasted

A review is a conversation, not an application.

Bring what you know about the premises and the problem. You do not need to diagnose the solution first.

Choose the closest option. This does not commit you to a particular solution.

Looking beyond today's technology

New options still have to earn their place.

Energy technology continues to change. Reclaim Energy is looking at emerging approaches to commercial generation, storage and efficiency. Additional solutions will be introduced where there is a credible commercial case for customers.

Questions

Commercial energy, explained plainly

Is commercial solar suitable for every business?

No. Suitability depends on factors including the premises, consumption, when electricity is used and the commercial case.

What is CHP?

Combined Heat & Power generates electricity on site and captures heat produced during that process so it can be used by the business. It is most relevant where there is consistent demand for both electricity and useful heat.

Do you only deal with solar?

No. Reclaim Energy takes a broader commercial energy approach, with commercial solar, CHP and energy efficiency currently forming the key areas considered.

Can you tell us the payback period?

Project economics need to be assessed using the specific building, consumption profile and commercial assumptions. A generic payback figure would not be a reliable basis for a decision.

Do we need to know what solution we need?

No. The free energy review is designed to establish where an opportunity may exist before you choose a technology.

Another area worth reviewing

Energy cost can sit alongside other business costs

Businesses looking at energy sometimes also ask us about specialist tax relief or reducing repetitive operational work. These are separate conversations, only where relevant.

A commercial first step

Before you invest in energy technology, find out whether it makes business sense.

Tell us about your premises, your energy costs and what you are trying to achieve. We'll start by understanding the opportunity.
